Highlights from Our 2025 Power Delivery Trade Show & Golf Outing
We couldn’t have asked for a better outcome for our Power Delivery Trade Show & Golf Outing this year! On Tuesday, September 16th, over 100 utility professionals from across New England and New York came together at Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, MA, for a day packed with learning, networking, and fun.
The morning kicked off with our trade show, where thirteen of our principals showed off their latest products and solutions. After exploring the booths, everyone grabbed their clubs and hit the course for a friendly (and competitive!) round of 18 holes. The day ended just right—with a steak dinner and awards to celebrate the highlights.
A huge thank-you to all of our attendees and principals for making this year’s event such a success. If you couldn’t join us this time, we hope to see you out there next year!
The WARN®-Richards Lineman Drill Winch is designed for typical utility applications to provide an easy and dependable method for tensioning wire and cable. The LDW has numerous ergonomic benefits for field personnel by virtually eliminating awkward work positioning and repetitive motion injuries associated with current tensioning methods.
The LDW is lightweight, portable, and designed for use with a standard battery-powered drill. The novel gear mechanism allows lineman to fine-tune the position of the tensioned cable/wire by simply using forward and reverse drill rotation. The innovative hand wheel allows for manual de-tension, and is designed with a large grip that can be easily turned with gloves. The drill interface is designed to work exclusively with a custom drill bit adapter. This five-sided adapter prohibits the use of a hex socket. This adapter remains inserted in a drill, which allows for easy connection and disconnection.
The LDW comes in two kit options:
LDW750-0: Includes a camo bag, drill winch, drill adapter, and a soft shackle.
LDW1500-0: Includes everything in the LDW750-0, plus an additional soft shackle and a rope retention pulley.
Prevent Degradation and Perching For Increased Lifespan of Poles
TE Connectivity's (TE)Pole Top Protection Covers (BCIC-PIT) protect wooden and concrete poles against degradation by preventing ingress of moisture, helping to increase the pole life.
The shape of the BCIC-PT covers incorporate a highly angled conical design to prevent birds and animals for landing or nesting on top of pole structures, as well as increase water runoff to avoid moisture ingress. The BCIC-PT cover range is available in round and square conical designs for poles of the same shape.
Made from UV-stabilized polyethylene material that is both robust and adaptable, this product ensures outstanding performance in harsh environments.
Key Features:
High-angle, anti-perch design
Excellent impact resistance
Cold applied
Suitable for a range of pole types (wooden, concrete, composite)
How infrastructure leaders are realizing new construction projects such as data centers, renewables, and EV charging stations using an element of customization as part of their SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
The tremendous growth of infrastructure-heavy industries, such as energy, technology, and transportation, has necessitated the construction of new facilities to meet rising consumption demands. AI, cloud computing, vehicle electrification, and renewable energy stabilization and grid integration have contributed to a massive influx of new construction projects. Data centers, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) facilities, and EV charging stations are just a few primary examples that have seen a significant increase in new projects over the past few years. The design-build companies working in these sectors are under increased pressure to deliver quickly, reliably, and cost-effectively while managing a myriad of constraints such as skilled-labor shortages, supply-chain volatility, permitting and regulatory delays, and site variability.
To overcome these building challenges, many companies have turned to a surprising strategy: customized solutions as a path toward standardization. While that may sound contradictory at first, the strategy addresses the growing need for scalable, repeatable, and reliable installations—even across diverse environments. “Standardization” and “customization” may seem like conflicting approaches. In practice, the dual approach is a blend of repeatable design frameworks combined with site-specific tailored engineering. It is proving to be a winning formula for companies seeking to fast-track and streamline building processes to meet demand pressures.
